Lyrics to As We Bid Farewell to Wildwood

Amazingly after over 30 years, Douglas remembers most of the lyrics to Wildwood's own graduation song.

Here are the words to
"As We Bid Farewell to Wildwood,"
lyrics by Marcella Smith and Jack Cronin:

As we bid farewell to Wildwood
And the scenes we knew so well
It is with deeper feeling
Than mere words can ever tell

For within those walls we've treasured
And the friends we knew so well
We've strived and worked without measure
To prepare for life's role (for most of us in Hell - hey, it ryhmes)

Today as we depart
Our high school lives to start
We pledge to strive for honor and reknown
For country, god, and peace
We'll work without surcease
A credit to our schools and homes to be . . .

Though our work here is now completed
In memory, you'll remain (could we use reign instead?)
And in our hearts, our love for you
Will long, long remain
